We are recruiting a Programme Development and Funding Officer. The post-holder will work with one of our regional teams, supporting across the programme funding cycle, for both development and humanitarian work. This job provides the opportunity to work closely with programme teams, and to make a real contribution to the design, development and oversight of projects, as well as acting as a global focal point on some of our key donor accounts.
Key Skills
  • A good understanding of international development and global ageing.
  • Experience of working in programming, or at least a strong interest to develop skills in this area.
  • Experience of working with, and securing funds from, major institutional donors. (We would be particularly keen to hear from candidate with experience securing funds from the UK Government, UN agencies, and/or UK/European trusts and foundations).
  • Able to manage multiple and complex tasks, and to work under pressure in a deadline-focused environment.
  • Strong project proposal and report writing skills.
  • Demonstrable experience of developing and implementing fundraising strategies and plans.
Additional Information
The post requires international travel, usually between 4-6 weeks per year.
